A competent marketer must also practice two forms of marketing, namely;
a) Responsible marketing
b) Responsive marketing
Thus, we can describe a competent marketer as being responsible and responsive in his marketing practice.
a) Responsible behaviour implies that the marketer is refraining from any act, practice or behaviour that will be frustrating, damaging or destructive to the consumers or general public. A competent marketer who practice socially responsible marketing considers the impact of his activities on the environment.
b) Responsive marketer behaviour implies that the marketer is always ready and prepared to do what will satisfy the needs and wants of consumers and to give them delightful satisfaction or the best.
