The point at which the electricity authority service cables terminates is a consumer's mains terminal. This is preceded by the authority equipment which shows the main fuse (generally called cut out), the neutral link, and energy meter (watt hour meter).
One point of the consumers terminals is connected to the general mass of the earth via a copper electrode. This is called the consumer earth terminal.
