The various methods of construction of plane figures were death with in detail. This should have adequately equipped you to draw some of the shapes of geometrical figures, guided by the knowledge of their base shapes.
Polygons
The various regular polygons are shown in isometric drawings. You should be able to reproduce these figures accurately using any convenient scale. Such plane figures are particularly useful in metalwork where thin sheets are used for the various developments as will be shown latter.
Five Regular Solids
These are figures whose sides are based on triangles, squares, pentagonal shapes, etc. Attempt should be made to develop these shapes following the steps illustrated below for the development of dodecahedron to produce round objects such as a football.
