The climatic graphs show the relationship between rainfall , temperature and vegetation. Temperature is mainly determined by the altitude and latitude of the place.
From the climatic graphs, we can deduce the following:
• Tropical and mixed temperate forests have rainfall throughout the year.
• Tropical and temperate grassland have a definite dry season.
• In both temperate and tropical regions, the amount and distribution of rainfall, rather than temperature, determine the vegetation, I.e. whether it is a forest , a grassland, or a desert.
• Temperature range is greater in the temperate region's than in the tropics, resulting in a definite cold and a warm season in Temperate countries.
Desert have very little rainfall. They also show a greater temperature range than the corresponding forests and grasslands.
