There are several benefits or advantages that are derivable from soil conservation:
• all humans live on soil (land) and carry out almost all their life process on it;
• plant nutrients are desired from the soil;
• provides home and water for soil organisms;
• it supports plant growth upon which all heterotrophs depend for food;
• most agricultural activities are carried out on the soil ;
• maintenance of soil fertility;
• provides raw materials such as clay for pottery and ceramic industries and sand for block moulding industry.
• fossils fuels and mineral resources are located deep down into the soil.
