Diet Chart Showing How the Various Foods Could be Mixed to give a Balanced Diet





Day - Morning - Afternoon - Evening

• Sunday - Yam , Sauce of oil, onions, meat, tomatoes and greens , orange - Beans and rice , chicken, oil, onions, green and tomatoes, fruit juice - Yam and gari , fufu , soup of okro, melon seeds, fish and beef, groundnuts

• Monday - Bean cake , milk and tea, maize mealie meal (agidi), banana - Yam , fish, oil, onions, peas, fruit juice or cocoa - Soup of palm oil, onions, beef , yam, greens and tomatoes, fruit juice

• Tuesday - Fried plantain, fried or hard boiled egg, milk and tea, paw paw - Beans and yams, palm oil, onions, beef, fruit juice - Yam and gari, fufu, soup of okro, fish and beef, groundnuts

• Wednesday - Yam,  sauce of oil, onions, tomatoes, meat and greens, fruit juice - Rice , chicken, oil, onions, greens and tomatoes, fruit juice - Peas and yam, mutton, oil, onions tomatoes and greens, fruit juice (pineapple)

• Thursday - Bean cake, milk and tea, maize mealie meal, banana - Peas, yams, mutton , oil, onions, fruit juice - Yam and gari, fufu, soup of agbono, melon seed (egusi), fish and mutton, groundnuts

• Friday - Fried plantain, fried or hard boiled egg, milk and tea, pineapple - Rice and beans, chicken, oil, onions, greens and tomatoes, fruit juice - Yam,  soup of palm oil, onions, chicken, greens and tomatoes, paw paw, cocoa

• Saturday - Bean cake, maize , maize pap, hard boiled egg, banana - Beans and yams, palm oil, onions, beef, fruit juice - Peas and rice, mutton, oil, onions, tomatoes and greens, sweets
